Disclaimer

Last updated: 21 April 2026

The material published on ayatulkursi.org/ is offered for educational and spiritual benefit. It is not a fatwa. Please read the following carefully before relying on anything on this Site.

1. Not a Substitute for a Qualified Scholar

We are not muftis.

Articles on this Site summarise classical scholarship for general readers. They are not personal religious rulings. For questions about your own worship, family, finance, health, or relationships — anything requiring a fatwa — please consult a qualified scholar (‘alim or mufti) in your local community.

2. Translations Are Approximate

The Qur’an is in Arabic. Every English (or other-language) rendering is a human interpretation and carries the limits of translation. Where we quote a translation, the Arabic original is always authoritative. Differences between translators (Sahih International, Pickthall, Yusuf Ali, Mohsin Khan, and others) are normal and often reflect legitimate scholarly disagreement. Our Sources & Methodology page lists the translations we rely on.

3. Hadith Grading

Where we quote a hadith, we cite the collection and, where applicable, the grading by classical muhaddithun (al-Bukhari, Muslim, al-Tirmidhi, and others) or by contemporary scholars who follow their method. We make every effort to avoid weak (da’if) and fabricated (mawdu’) narrations in material about virtues and benefits. If you find a hadith you believe is weak or misattributed, please write to ayatulkursi.org@gmail.com.

4. Differences Between Schools of Thought

Classical Sunni scholarship contains legitimate differences (ikhtilaf) between the four schools of fiqh and between different tafsir methodologies. Where such differences affect a page’s topic, we note the main positions rather than favour one. We do not speak for any school, institution, or group.

5. Ruqyah, Healing & Spiritual Practices

Ayat al-Kursi has been recited by Muslims for centuries as a form of ruqyah shar’iyyah (Islamic self-protection by Qur’anic recitation). The Site describes traditional practices, but:

  • Nothing on this Site is a medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment.
  • Nothing replaces qualified medical care for physical or mental illness.
  • Recitation is an act of worship, not a transaction with guaranteed outcomes.

Outcomes belong to Allah alone. We cannot and do not promise any specific result from any practice described on the Site.

6. External Links

We link to external sites (Quran.com, Sunnah.com, Amazon, scholarly websites, etc.) only for convenience. We do not endorse, control, or guarantee the content of those sites. Follow external links at your own risk and read each site’s own terms and privacy policy.

7. Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

Some links on the Site are affiliate links (e.g., Amazon Associates) — we may earn a commission if you purchase through them at no extra cost to you. The Site also runs Google AdSense advertising. Neither commissions nor ad revenue influence our content.

8. No Warranties of Accuracy

While we review every page carefully, we cannot warrant that every word is free of error. Typographical, transliteration, or citation errors are possible. If you find one, please email ayatulkursi.org@gmail.com and we will correct it.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the ayatulkursi.org/ editorial collective accepts no liability for any decision, action, or outcome you attribute to content on the Site. See our Terms of Service for the full liability clause.
