Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly was born in Madinah in 1969. He has been an imam of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah since 2007.
His voice is calm and even, which makes his recitation easy to follow and a favourite for memorising.

- اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَAllahu la ilaha illa HuwaAllah: there is no god worthy of worship except Him,
- الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُal-Hayyul-Qayyumthe Ever-Living, who keeps all that exists in being.
- لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌLa ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawmNeither drowsiness nor sleep ever overtakes Him.
- لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِLahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-ardEverything in the heavens and on the earth belongs to Him.
- مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِMan dhal-ladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnihWho could intercede with Him, except with His permission?
