How to practise with this tool

Ayatul Kursi is easier to learn in short pieces. This page splits the verse into nine sections, at the natural pauses in the recitation, so you can master one before moving to the next.

1

Listen

Hear the section with each word highlighted as it is recited. Use 3× or 5× repeat to let it settle.
2

Hide

Cover the Arabic and recite it yourself. Tap any hidden word to peek at just that word.
3

Reveal

Show the words again and check what you said, then mark whether you remembered it.
4

Connect

Switch on “From the start” to join each new section to the ones you already know.

Your progress is saved on this device only. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed, so you can close the page and continue later.

Tips for remembering Ayatul Kursi

Short, regular practice works better than one long session. Five minutes after a prayer, repeated over several days, gives each section time to stick. Revisit sections you marked “Needs more practice” first the next time you open the page.

Turn off transliteration once you can follow the Arabic, so your eyes learn the actual words. Keep the meaning switched on: knowing what each section says makes it far easier to recall what comes next.

This tool helps you memorise, but it cannot check your pronunciation. For correct tajwid, recite to a qualified teacher.

Frequently asked questions

Which recitation is used?
The recitation is by Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy, streamed from Quran.com’s audio library. The word highlighting follows Quran.com’s published word timings for this recording.
Why is the verse split into nine sections?
The sections follow the pause marks in the Uthmani text, which are also where the reciter naturally pauses. Each section is a complete phrase with its own meaning.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The tool is designed for phones first. Audio starts after you press Listen, and you can use it offline once the page and recitation have loaded.
Is my progress shared anywhere?
No. Progress is kept in your browser’s local storage on this device. Use “Reset progress” to clear it.
